As told by some of Elvis’ childhood friends, vivid portrayals of Elvis’ life as a boy in Tupelo are displayed on an eight-foot high “Story Wall” adjoining the “Fountain of Life” and extending thirty feet. The “Story Wall” continues on the back outside wall of the gift shop.

Storytellers range from the pastor who taught Elvis to play guitar and other lifelong friends. Presley family members also give a good perspective into the life of Elvis Presley as a boy in the larger Presley family. All of the stories are original and unedited giving Birthplace guests a perspective of the commonplace content and rural language of those times.
